Prices start from €80. The final price depends on size, placement, design detail, and the individual artist. Tattoos using red or brown pigments, including freckle hearts, are priced higher due to specialized application techniques and faster natural fading.
-
A deposit secures your appointment slot and covers the time your artist spends preparing and drawing your custom design. Deposits are non-refundable.
-
You can reschedule your appointment up to 24 hours in advance without losing your deposit. Deposits will not be refunded in the event of a cancellation. Rescheduling more than once requires a new deposit to hold your spot.
-
One touch up session is included within 6 weeks of your initial appointment, provided your artist determines that a touch up is actually necessary for proper healing. Studio policy covers a maximum of 1 complimentary touch up per tattoo. Additional touch up sessions or re-touching fast fading pigments like red or brown ink are not covered for free. Your artist will inform you of these ink risks beforehand, leaving the choice to you.
-
Not all of our artists offer tattoos on these areas. Because skin wear in these locations is exceptionally high, ink fades quickly. While 1 touch up is included within 6 weeks, we do not offer long-term guarantees on finger, hand, neck, or inner lip tattoos.

FAQ
How much is a tattoo from UTCA TATTOO STUDIO
Prices start from 80 euros
Why do I have to make a deposit when making an appointment? A deposit is a bit of security for the artist, there is a lot of work involved in making a custom design, which is why we ask for a small deposit.
Are walk-ins welcome?
Sure, come by our studio at Vinkenburgstraat 8a in Utrecht and tell us your idea, or choose something from our flash sheets. We will match you to one of our available artists.
How long does a tattoo session take?
This varies per person and tattoo. For example, a day session lasts from 11am to 6pm*, including stenciling, discus the design and of course, coffee break! We will make sure that everything is ready for your appointment, so that you can take a seat in one of our tattoo chairs. *The artist can finish the design earlier.
Can I cancel or reschedule my appointment?
An appointment can be canceled or rescheduled up to 24 hours in advance. However, any deposits made will not be reimbursed in the event of a cancellation. If you move your appointment more than once, you will not get your deposit back. This is because of the time and effort that an artist puts into your design and appointment and the reservation in the agenda.
Do you have to wait a long time on the waitlist?
Every artist has their own waiting time, some artists are also available for walk-ins. Contact us and we'll see what we can do for you.
I'm getting my first tattoo but I'm not sure what, how should I proceed?
Our tattoo artists are always willing to think along with you. It is nice if you have some idea of what you would like to put, then we can come up with a suitable design. Of course you can always contact us or visit our tattoo studio for an indication.
What exactly do you mean by a cruelty-free, eco-friendly and vegan tattoo process?
The products we use are not tested on animals, which we think is very important as a team. We use as many eco-friendly, vegan & cruelty-free products as possible in our shop, such as Quantum x Sea Shepherd inks, so by getting a tattoo at UTCA TATTOO STUDIO you indirectly support Sea Shepherd on their mission. That makes your tattoos and the world a lot more beautiful. All Quantum Tattoo inks are vegan and cruelty-free. It contains no animal products and none of the ingredients or finished products are ever tested on animals. All Quantum vegan ink is CTL approved and therefore meets all EU quality standards, global health standards and meets the requirements of the vegan community around the world.
Do you have gift vouchers?
Yes, of course! The perfect gift for an ink-fiend. You can buy them in our studio.
Do you also do finger/neck/lip tattoos?
Not every Utca Tattoo Studio artist does finger/neck/lip tattoos. Some do, but we don't guarantee for it to stay in. Normally we give a guarantee of 6 weeks on all tattoos that we put on, because we stand behind our service 100% and quality is of paramount importance to us. But tattoos on the fingers often fade quickly and therefore do not remain beautiful in the long term. We therefore advise you to consider other places, which can often be just as beautiful or even more beautiful, our artists can help you with this.
Does getting a tattoo hurt a lot?
The answer is difficult to give because the pain threshold differs for each person. The size and location of the tattoo also plays a major role. We do, however, advise you not to factor in this factor when getting a tattoo, because of course the end result is what matters. Our team will of course inform you as well as possible and guide you in getting your tattoo done.
I would like to have a tattoo on a scar if possible?
Getting a tattoo on a scar is possible in most cases. It is important that you stop by UTCA TATTOO STUDIO first to have it looked at by one of our experienced artists, or send us an photo. They can then see if it is possible to tattoo on your scar. It is important that your scar is at least one year old.
I am pregnant and I would like a tattoo, is that allowed?
We do not tattoo you if you are pregnant. According to the GGD, it is not wise to get a tattoo if you are pregnant. There is an increased risk of infections, we do not want to run this risk for you and your baby.
Do I have to take care of my tattoo?
Putting aftercare on your tattoo is very important if you have just had a tattoo. This way you ensure that the skin does not dry out. You can apply creams to your tattoo that our team recommends. The most important thing is that the cream has a caring effect and does not cause an allergic reaction. After getting a tattoo you will receive an aftercare form with all aftercare information.
